<p>
        You commented <strong>JOBS</strong>, so here's the setup. career-ops is
        an open-source job search system that runs inside the AI coding CLI you
        already use: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode or Gemini CLI. It had 72,559
        stars on GitHub on 24 September 2026.
      </p>

      <h2>Why this matters right now</h2>
      <p>
        Only <strong>5.9%</strong> of Indian tech job postings are entry or
        junior level. That's 908 out of 15,429 LinkedIn and Naukri postings
        between 29 May and 29 July 2026, or about eight senior roles for every
        entry role. Only 0.4% are remote.

      </p>
      <p>
        With that few openings, sending more applications doesn't help much.
        Better applications to the right roles do. That's the job this repo does.
      </p>

      <div class="highlight">
        <p style="margin-bottom: 0">
          <strong>The short version:</strong> it scores each job against your CV,
          flags fake listings and drafts a tailored CV and cover letter. It
          <em>never</em> applies or sends anything for you. You stay in control
          of every send.
        </p>
      </div>

      <p>
        MIT licensed, and everything runs on your machine, so your CV doesn't
        get uploaded to anyone's servers.
      </p>

      <h2>What it does</h2>
      <ol>
        <li>
          <strong>Scores each listing from 1 to 5</strong> against your CV and
          shows how it weighted each requirement, so you can see why a role
          scored low.
        </li>
        <li><strong>Flags scams and ghost jobs</strong> before you waste an evening on them.</li>
        <li>
          <strong>Drafts an ATS-friendly CV and cover letter</strong> for each
          role. It rewords what you have and doesn't invent experience.
        </li>
        <li><strong>Scans 100+ company job boards</strong> for new roles.</li>
        <li>
          <strong>Tracks your pipeline</strong> in a terminal dashboard and
          generates interview prep in STAR format.
        </li>
      </ol>
      <p>
        What it won't do: submit applications, send emails, or push you toward
        roles that score under 4.0 unless you override it.
      </p>

      <h2>Setup</h2>
      <p>From the project README:</p>
      <ol>
        <li>Install Node.js and one AI CLI, for example Claude Code or Codex.</li>
        <li>Run <code>npx @santifer/career-ops init</code>.</li>
        <li>Write your CV as a markdown file.</li>
        <li>Optional: install Playwright if you want PDF CVs.</li>
      </ol>
      <p>
        No paid AI plan? The README lists OpenRouter's free tier and local
        models as options.
      </p>

      <h2>Where to point it if you're in India</h2>
      <ul>
        <li>
          <a href="https://wellfound.com/role/l/ai-engineer/india">Wellfound: AI engineer jobs in India</a>.
          700+ roles, including AI Engineer Intern listings, mostly in Bengaluru.
        </li>
        <li>
          <a href="https://internshala.com/fresher-jobs/artificial-intelligence-ai-jobs/">Internshala: AI fresher jobs</a>.
          Around 140 openings.
        </li>
      </ul>

      <h2>How I'd use it</h2>
      <ul>
        <li>Only apply to roles that score 4 or higher. Read every draft before you send it.</li>
        <li>Five strong applications a week beat fifty copy-paste ones.</li>
        <li>
          Link two shipped projects in every CV: a live URL and a GitHub repo
          with a real README. The tool can reword your experience, but it can't
          build projects for you.
        </li>
        <li>Use the rejection tracking. If the same gap keeps showing up, that's your next project.</li>
      </ul>
