You commented YC, so here are the links. Y Combinator's internship page for Summer 2027 is live, and YC startups are already posting intern roles. I checked every link below on 24 September 2026.
Read this first: YC companies don't hire on one shared calendar, and most of the roles I found are in the US. Check the location and visa details on every listing before you apply. If you need something in India this month, jump to section 5.
1. YC's official internship page
"Internships at Y Combinator Companies, Summer 2027." YC's own page for student internships at its startups, with founder talks and a student community on top. Read the eligibility section before anything else, especially if you'd need a visa.
2. Simplify: YC internships
simplify.jobs/l/YC-Internships
138 YC internship roles when I checked, 58 of them added that week. They list paid internships only. Their FAQ says YC companies don't share a recruiting calendar, so new roles show up all year, not in one batch.
3. TrueUp: YC intern roles
Another tracker for YC company internships. Use it as a second check so you don't miss roles.
4. startup.jobs internships
Startup internships beyond YC, newest first.
5. If you're in India and need something now
- Wellfound: AI engineer jobs in India. 700+ roles, including AI Engineer Intern listings, mostly in Bengaluru.
- Internshala: AI fresher jobs. Around 140 openings.
For context: only 5.9% of Indian tech job postings are entry level (PrepNPlaced, 2026). A startup internship is one of the few ways to skip that queue.
How I'd apply
- Lead with two shipped projects. A live link, a GitHub repo with a README that explains the architecture, and one line on what you'd build next.
- Write like a founder, not an HR form. Four lines: what you built, why this company, what you'd take off their plate. Skip the cover letter essay.
- Apply early and keep checking. Roles open all year, and small teams often hire the first good person who applies.
- Let a tool filter for you. career-ops scores each listing against your CV, so you only spend time on the roles that fit.
